Deputy Commissioner's Message
Being the deputy commissioner Gwadar, I am hopeful that Gwadar would be uplifted and developed as a modern port city, which will not only benefit the people of Gwadar but through out the country. People will reap the fruit of sustainable growth and development. The development is carried out in different prospective zones with special focus on economic activities under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects of over $50 billion and blue economy, the initiatives of which have been commissioned and progress can be seen on ground. Under CPEC, Gwadar Port will not only function as a major commercial trading hub with neighbouring countries but will also provide revenue for businesses and entrepreneurs alike. Join hands with us, in building the future of Pakistan.

In the past, Gwadar was a part of Sultanate of Oman, which was annexed/merged into Pakistan in 1958.
